Helping 20,000 Women LEAP into their Best LIFE!
December is the Month to Celebrate the Amazing YOU!
Embrace your Greatness...Spend time in Reflection...Pray Furiously...and Clear Away Anything Taking Space in Your Life That's Not Serving You.
5 Quick Tips to Help you Make Space for Something New in 2016.
1. Appreciate the wonderful you.
2. Align your life with what’s most important to you.
3. Celebrate and appreciate your wins. Keep a daily journal of your successes and refer to it frequently when making decisions. Reading your positive experiences will give you confidence when making important decisions.
4. Surround yourself with your success. Frame your certificates and display your trophies.
5. Unburden your mind with the weight of incomplete thoughts, difficult decisions, disorganized areas, or a forgiveness that is long overdue. It will make room for the abundance you deserve.
Elizabeth Gilbert says it best in her book, "Big Magic"....
"And you have treasures hidden within you - extraordinary treasures - and so do I, and so does everyone around us. And bringing those treasures to light takes work and faith and focus and courage and hours of devotion, and the clock is ticking, and the world is spinning, and we simply do not have time anymore to think so small."
Enjoy a Blessed December! Jenn

HELP! How to Navigate Through Life's Hectic Responsibilities
HELP!
How to Navigate Through Life’s
Hectic
Responsibilities
Recently
I received an email from one of my clients - let’s call her Suzanne. She mentioned that she was extremely
overwhelmed in her life and needed to set a time to meet with me.
Suzanne’s
exact words were, “I am trying to figure this all out..... It seems I am making time for
everything but not making time for me!!!! My schedule has been crazy
busy and I have been out of the office more than in!!! Jenn, I am feeling
pulled in many directions. Having THINK
TIME...... to soul search and redefine is more important to me than trying to
fill up every hour in my day. I can’t continue living like this! Can you help?”
This
is not the first time I have heard this concern. And it was the desperate nature of her cry
for help that inspired me to develop a process to help my clients navigate through
their overwhelming life responsibilities.
I know the process will continue to evolve. I have identified 7 steps.
The 7-Steps to Move Your Hectic Life
from Frenzy to Freedom
1. What exactly are you doing? List every life/business responsibility you currently
have.
2. Prioritize. List your
responsibilities from the most important to the least important.
3. Where does the time go? Determine how much time you spend or want to spend on
each responsibility.
4. Add them up. What is the total number of hours you are currently
spending on your complete list of responsibilities?
5. Evaluate. Analyze each
responsibility thoroughly. Determine
what pieces and parts can be delegated and which activities need a more
efficient system to run more effectively.
6. Eliminate. If the total
number of hours you determined in step 4 is more than you can handle without
stress – even after delegation or system creation (step 5) – then it's time to
start eliminating. Begin with the least important responsibilities and move up
to the most important. Eliminate until the total number of hours is doable and
supports and inspires you and your dreams.
7. Game Plan. Now that you have
eliminated, delegated and/or set up systems, it’s time to set goals within each
responsibility. Address one
responsibility at a time. Choose a time frame – 2-4 weeks – to work on the
first area and then move on to the next.
Make sure all of your choices, actions and goals align with your values
and your life mission. Use accountability to keep you on track.
I
can’t wait to hear what you think! Take a moment to leave a comment on how you
think this process will work for you. If

Act As If
ACT AS IF
One of the principles that Jack Canfield teaches, is “Act as if.”
Act as if you are already where you want
to be. That means thinking like, talking
like, dressing like, acting like, and feeling like the person you will become
after you have achieved your goals.
In fact, Canfield created the Come as You Will Be, Party. “At the party you are to arrive as who you
will be 5 years from now. Dress your
best. Speak only in the present tense
the entire evening, as if it is already 2020 and all your goals have been
achieved and all your dreams have already come true. Bring props to show everyone what you have
achieved in the years between, such as bestselling books you’ve written,
magazine covers you’ve been on, awards you’ve won, and photographs or
scrapbooks of your achievements. Throughout
the evening you will have the opportunity to applaud others in their
achievements and to receive congratulations for yours.”
Jack’s “party” idea made me stop and think about how I would want to
show up at a “Come as You Will Be….in 2020” Party. After much reflection, I decide I would show
up as a an ALS survivor, a best selling author founding the #1 women’s
networking organization and the #1 life coach training program. With that step complete, I proceed to the next
step – actually attending a party as me in 2020. Since I don’t have a live party to attend yet,
I decide to visualize the entire process for right now.
Visualizing my “Come as You Will Be….in 2020”
party….
· Where
is my party? My party is at the
Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Naples, FL.
·
Who is at my party? All of my children and their spouses,
grandchildren, husband, siblings, and parents are here along with all of my
friends.
·
How will I act? I am acting confident, carefree and peaceful. I am sharing all the details around the risks
I took to be part of a successful ALS clinical trial. And how we purchased a riverfront home to
celebrate the years we now have together since my disease went into remission 4
years ago. I show my peers a copy of my
new bestselling mystery novel and share with them how inspiring my book tour
was. I proudly announce that the So
Now Professional Network for Women, which I founded 10 years ago, has
grown like crazy and now prospers in 14 states.
·
What will I wear? I am wearing a flowing long dress in
black and white silk satin, beautiful jewelry, photos of my book cover are
clenched in my hand and I am wearing my So Now logo pin. My husband is escorting me around
proudly. I am fit and healthy.
·
How will I think? Philippians
4:13 summarizes how I am thinking perfectly. “I can do all things through Christ who
strengthens me.”
I am not listening to the people that say under their
breath, “It just breaks my heart when I see her.” Because instead, they are saying, “It inspires my heart when I see her”.
·
What will I talk like? I will communicate from a grateful heart and be
present for every moment. I will use
future focused vocabulary and talk excitedly about the wonderful possibilities
in store for my family, everyone I meet and myself. I am confident that my next 5 years will be
as wonderful as my past 5 years.
·
How will I feel? Accomplished.
Happy. Fulfilled. Complete.
Faithful. Inspired. Connected.
Appreciated. Successful. Wow!
Two days after my, “Come as you will be, Party” visualization what am I
experiencing?
I am not sure if my visualization process is as effective as
actually attending a “Come as you will be” party – which I will be planning
soon – but I must admit that I am noticing small shifts in my mindset. I am more positive, future-oriented, hopeful
and my goals feel more doable! I will
continue to visualize my “Come as you will be in 5 years” me – and actually act
it out the best I can each day – for 21 days.
I will post my mind shifts and any new perceptions and accomplishments
as they come up. I am excited to see what happens!
If you were invited to a “Come as you will be…in 2020” party,
please share how you would like to show up. How you will be acting and feeling. What you will be wearing and talking
like. Or plan your own “party” and
document your results – right here.

Helping 20,000 Women LEAP into their Best LIFE!
November is the Month to put your Words to Paper.
Join me in the National Novel Writing Month!
Join me in the National Novel Writing Month!
The National Novel Writing Month - NaNoWrMo for short - Only comes around once a year in NOVEMBER!
I HAVE FINALLY DONE IT -- I finished my first complete round of edits on my very first Mystery Novel - "The Yellow Ribbon Affair"! A novel I started almost 3 years ago. I have wanted to write a book since my 9th grade creative writing class in 1970.
The quest started in November 2012. My sister, Diana, asked me to join her in the “National Novel Writing Month” Challenge, known as NaNoWrMo, which occurs each year in November. The only qualification: The novel must be written entirely in the month of November. I was a little hesitant at first, then I remembered my 9th grade dream and decided to give the contest serious consideration - but a novel in ONE MONTH seemed daunting - 50,000 words in one month! Then it hit me, WHY NOT me? Looking back, All I can say is that it was an experience beyond the words that went into the novel. Most important - here I am today with a finished novel. Thank you Diana!!
At the end of each day, during the writing challenge, my husband, Bob, would ask me if I had my 1667 words in. (That was what I needed to accomplish each day in order to complete the novel on time.) He was so supportive and excited for me. In fact I caught him telling one of his friends about my goal. And it was at that moment that I knew I would finish. It gave me the accountability I needed.
Throughout the contest, our mentor writers recommended that we write with abandon and to not worry about corrections and perfections in our writing style – just write. And so I did. And because of that one seemly insignificant piece of advice, I was able to finish on time.
It was the next step that held me up – editing the novel. I put the editing off and put it off and put it off a little longer. Four different times I worked my way through editing parts of the book, but I never made it from beginning to end. The time lapses made me disconnect with the flow of the book causing me to forgot which character was doing what. Finally, I spent sixteen solid hours working through the novel from beginning to end, which helped me stay connected to the storyline and characters. Does it need more work – absolutely? The exciting part – I can finally hire a professional to read the novel and give me their opinion.
So what did I learn about writing with abandon?
1. To keep a character ledger that includes their personal storyline, physical appearance and whom they are connected with. I will then be able to remember from day to day who did what, where and when.
2. Map out a chronological time-line of events including exact dates and time of day so that I am able to refer back to any part of my story and pickup where I left off or insert new content.
3. Thinking through the storyline in advance will help with writer's block.
4. Most Important - Schedule in advance, blocks of time committed to editing so that all of my hard work culminates into a finished product.
5. Have fun with the process.
On November 1, 2015 I will be at it again - writing a novel in a month. This time I will be armed with my new writing tools! Who wants to JOIN ME and write your novel in November?
Enjoy your amazing day! Jenn
