The Hotest Headlines from So Now Coaching
Helping 20,000 Women LEAP into their Best Life!
12,078 Leaps - 7,922 To Go
This is YOUR YEAR!

The So Now Professional Network for Women choose an inspirational theme every year to keep us focused throughout the entire year. Our theme for 2016 is...The YEAR OF THE DANCE. The year to Dance to Your Unique Music with:
Daring Moves
Abundant Thinking
Nerves of Steel
Clarity of Mission and
Energetic Enthusiasm!

In our Quarterly Newsletter I mapped out a process to help us stay on track - and I am excited to also share it with you.

HERE YOU GO.....
To push me to maintain a high level of focus throughout the remainder of the year, I put together a 7-Step Plan to INSPIRE me to keep going NO MATTER WHAT.  And I am excited to share it with you!

7 Essential Steps to Guarantee Goal-Getting Success......
1. State your BIG goal.  What is your vision/mission.  Be specific. Visualize the exact date and exact hour you will complete your goal.  How will you feel when you achieve it?  How will you feel if you don't?
2. Break it down into all it's parts.  What do you want to achieve quarterly - monthly - weekly.  What specific things will you do TODAY that will support your goal?
3. What systems, tools & processes do you want to automate so that you maintain high efficiency and effectiveness?
4.  What skills do you need to learn?
5. Who do you need to meet that will help you in your journey?
6.  What roadblocks may you encounter along the way?
7. And Last and Most Important....Goal ACCOUNTABILITY Establish an accountability partner and connect at the same time on the same day each week without letting each other off the hook.

My results have been OVER the TOP! I can't wait to Celebrate your greatness, achievements and success with you! There's room for EVERYONE on the DANCE Floor!

Many Blessings, Jenn

Have You Always Wanted to Write a Book?
"How to Improve Your Writing Style in 10 Minutes or Fewer."
By Brandon Royal

1. USE STRAIGHTFORWARD LANGUAGE.
The most fundamental way to simplify writing is to use simpler words. Simple words—whether verbs, nouns or adjectives—tend to have broader connotations, while complicated words have more specific meanings. Thus, you have a lower margin for error when using simpler words. Substitute a less familiar word with a more readily understandable one.
2. TRIM LONG SENTENCES.
One way to make your writing clearer is to limit the use of long sentences. The easiest way to do this is to divide a long sentence into two or more shorter sentences. Using shorter sentences does not mean that all sentences should be short. This would create a choppy style and is precisely where the art of writing comes into play. You must judge how to weave short sentences with longer ones, as well as how to use sentence variety.

What is your WHY Behind your WHAT?

What is your WHY Behind Your WHAT?

Why do you do what you do?
Why do you want what you want?
What is your why behind your what?
What is the purpose behind your passions?
What is your passion and why do you want it?

Oh my...such great questions!  My beautiful niece, Claire, sent me an article asking these exact questions.  After I read it, I realized if I was truly honest with myself, I didn't immediately know the answers to all of the questions.  So I decided to devise a process that would help me and hopefully others find their WHY behind their WHAT.

1. The first thing I did was walk through a "Values Exercise" and determine what was most important to me.
Through this exercise I was able to figure out my top 10 values in order of importance? What did I find out? My values are: God, husband, happiness, children, financial security, connecting with outdoors, being healed, connecting with people, family watching others succeed, exercise, and success.

2. The second thing I did was reflect and then acknowledge all the specific situations that I was the happiest.  In other words, the moments I was truly living in my passion and doing the things that are most important to me.

What did I discover?  I love spending time in scripture and speaking to God, spending time with my husband and children, writing, inspiring others through speaking, coaching start-up businesses, connecting people with people, being creative, being successful, spending time with friends and experiencing the beauty of the outdoors.

3. The third thing I did was look at each of the above activities and determine why I enjoyed them so much -- the purpose behind my passion! The one common thread I discovered was....CONNECTION. Why Connection? I enjoy connecting people with people, connecting personally with nature, connecting people with their greatness, connecting to stories and connecting with my gifts.  One of my greatest joys is when someone I have met searches deep inside and experiences the ah-ha behind why and how they are uniquely designed by God and why their special gifts are perfect, beautiful and important to the universe.

4. The fourth thing I did was make a few adjustments in what I was currently doing so that my activities matched-up with my WHY.  What did I change?  Professionally, I decided to stop doing activities that didn't center around one of the following:
>> Speaking to groups of women.  Inspiring and encouraging them to meld together and to join forces.  To honor, respect and enjoy their individual uniqueness, gifts and talents and to dance to their unique, beautiful dance each and every day.
>> Spending time with individual coaching clients that are small business owners and/or startups.  Moving them quickly through fears that may be holding them back while showing them how to make money ASAP!
>> Editing and publishing my first mystery novel.
>> Growing the membership of the So Now Network for Professional Women.
5. The final thing I did was breakdown my four focuses into doable steps and then back them up with accountability. I am learning that to be outrageously successful the most important thing I do is to assign deadlines and set up accountability with all of the pieces and parts of each of my goals.  In the past, my biggest roadblock has been procrastination. So I have joined a mastermind group that is teaching me how to set step-by-step mini goals that support my big audacious goal - while at the same time holding me accountable - without exception. I can't wait to see where I am in 60 days.  Look out world!

I invite you to give my 5-Step process a try and then share with me your personal experience on your way to defining your WHY behind your WHAT!

Many Blessings, Jenn

10 Marketing Experiments that You Can Run Yourself to Improve Your Reach on Social Media

By Laura Busche, Brand Strategist
"Are you constantly trying to catch up with every new social network that comes out?

Do you find yourself juggling with copy and images to make sure to share at least a certain number of social media posts each day?

Everyone seems to be so focused on quantity that we often forget the impact that small, incremental improvements can have in our social media strategy. When was the last time you tried smart variations to see where they took your engagement and conversion numbers.

Granted, experimentation can sound a bit intimidating. I know because I’ve worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs who feel that “social media tests” are some obscure tactics only data scientists can handle. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Given the right tools, and having adopted the right mindset, I strongly believe that anyone can manage a lean social media testing program. I’m writing this article to share seven simple tests that you can run today."

Discover the Value of a Mastermind and Illuminate Your Business & Life!

Discover the Value of a Mastermind
and Illuminate Your Business & Life!

My business coach has been telling me for years that the only way I was going to achieve my goals in a timely way was to work with an accountability partner or to participate in a mastermind group. I have to admit, I have tried both and neither one of them helped me break through any roadblocks or achieve any specific goals.  The groups lasted for a few months and then eventually faded away.
In a moment of weakness this past February, I said yes to another mastermind group.  It wasn't until I joined this particular mastermind, facilitated by this particular coach - Kathy Burrus - that I was able to finally understand the benefit and necessity of accountability.

What was different this time?
1. We followed a strict format that was adhered to without exception.
2. I was asked to breakdown my BIG goal into what I wanted to achieve in the month of March – no more – no less.
3. I then mapped out the steps involved to reach my goal and chose ONE part to focus on.
4. Finally I had to explain why I wanted to achieve my goal and what it meant to me personally.

What did I discover during this mastermind?
I live my life completely around the joy of connection.  Connecting a person to a person, connecting a person to their dream, connecting a feeling or solution to a problem, connecting daily with God, connecting at an intellectual level, and connecting with nature.  What a huge awareness for me.  So if I am not connecting one way or another in what I am saying or experiencing, I am just not going to do it! Well if that doesn't simplify what the steps within my goal should look and feel like. – And that discovery arrived during week 3 of the 5 week mastermind.  A BIG game changer!
After week one and two of the five-week mastermind, I waited until the last minute to complete my accountability work for the following week. By week three…..I had it done within a day of our mastermind session and by week four I couldn't wait for our final session because I was experiencing SO MUCH success.  I plan on signing up for another month so that I can tackle a new focus - break it down into doable steps - and see it all the way through to completion!
Have you been part of a mastermind that has brought you huge success.  If so, I would love to hear more about it.

Many Blessings, Jenn

For Women Who Want More

The Hotest Headlines from So Now Coaching
Helping 20,000 Women LEAP into their Best Life!
11,728 Leaps - 8,272 To Go

This is YOUR Year!

In JANUARY my message was focused on digging deep and identifying, "What is Your Driving Force." In FEBRUARY I featured a "6-Step Process that Guarantees a Year of Endless Possibility".

In MARCH I want to turn to a book called, "
ONE WORD" This book focuses on choosing ONE WORD that will change how you think, the words you speak, the attitudes of your heart, your relationships and even your actions.

So what is the ONE WORD Phenomena all about? Here is a quick Summary of the Process outlined in the book:

"1. Prepare your Heart by Checking In:  Ask yourself...What do I need?...What's in my way?...What needs to go?

2. Discover your Word by Looking Up:  Get a God Word not a Good Word.

3. Live your Word by Looking Out:  Keep your word front and center and spread your word by sharing it with others."

To really benefit from the process - you MUST read the book, it's only a 45 minute read.  After I read the book, I spent 2 hours working through the exercises.  At first I thought my ONE WORD was LOVE. After living with my word for a few days, I realized it wasn't working for me completely.  So I went back and worked through the exercises one more time and after deep prayer, I discovered my ONE WORD.....
MIRACLE.

HOW do I know for sure that my ONE WORD is MIRACLE?
When you choose your ONE WORD it's important to test it against all 6 dimensions of your life. And this time when I
checked in with all 6 - MIRACLE fit.

I would love to share with you how the word MIRACLE impacts my goals in all 6 dimensions of my life?
Spiritual Impact: Spend REAL time daily with God. Open my heart to His message and guidance.
Physical Impact: A cure for ALS.  Trust God can do the impossible.
Emotional Impact: Believe I can positively and miraculously help others through my disease. Stop allowing ALS to determine my possibilities and potential.
Relational Impact: Inspire others to embrace and love who they are and discover their God-given gift that is at the center of their purpose.  Connect others.
Mental Impact: Make a personal mind shift: Be strong. Be Positive. Think Possibility. Have Faith.
Financial Impact: Create a solid financial plan that helps the ones I love achieve their dreams.

I have only begun my process and can't wait to see how my life adjusts to my MIRACLE MOVEMENT throughout 2016.  I look forward to hearing all about your ONE WORD process!
Enjoy a Blessed March, Jenn

March Leadership Tip
23 Powerful Tips to Help
Women Leaders Succeed

by Susan Steinbrecher CEO, Steinbrecher & Associates

"Here are 23 things I have learned as a business owner over the past two decades:

1. Find a trusted adviser and ask to be mentored.  Whether it's an individual or an advisory peer group such as Vistage, never stop seeking input from others.

2. Focus on what you are grateful for-- take notes, journal, make lists.  This is important to help you remain positive.

3. Keep an open mind.  Come to understand a situation by asking better questions.  Judgement and assumptions will only impede your progress and alienate you from others."
